It was very nice to get a real vacation day again. We've been staying close in case the truck was finished. Today was the first day that was not possible so we took advantage of it.

Beach day!
Took a ride down to Morehead City on the coast and went for a 2-3 mile walk on the beach with Callahan. Wonderful sunny day in the low 50s, gentle breeze. Then wandered around the old part of Beaufort, the adjacent town.
It was very nice to get a real vacation day again. We've been staying close in case the truck was finished. Today was the first day that was not possible so we took advantage of it.

So happy to read that you are on the move now! So sorry we couldn’t connec in Big Bend but with only two days here for us not much time to do much hiking. Sure is beautiful! Hope you get here too this year
