Another nice day to drive over from Nashville to Bristol. For you NASCAR fans, we are just a mile from Bristol Motor Speedway. I bet this place is packed on race weekends. It looks deserted now. They are expecting up to 2" of rain tomorrow and they've evacuated all the campers from the lower level. Just 2 of us down here tonight. The rain won't begin until tomorrow afternoon. We'll be long gone. It's a long day tomorrow, drive 377 miles from TN to PA, because we can't get a campground anywhere in VA or WV due to COVID restrictions. 14 day minimum reservation. Thanks Governors. They don't want the Floridians just passing through, so they make them stay for 2 weeks. Fuzzy logic to me.
Traffic was heavier today. More trucks, not many cars and few campers on the road. Interesting to be in the hills of TN now after so much flat terrain. The trees in the upper elevations are still just budding out. The lower elevations are in full foliage.
There is a nice brook called Beaver Creek running along the side of the camp. Makes the place feel good. They have tent sites all along the creek.
