Brunswick, GA

Not a long drive but it sure took time to get from Spring Hills FL to Brunswick GA.  I-75 was 5 mph traffic for a few miles, mostly due to construction.  And there seems to be construction everywhere.  We hit slow traffic several times.  At one point I said it appeared that they were working on every interchange on I-75 in FL.
Then there was the Strawberry Festival in Starke FL, it took 20 minutes to get through town and past the festival grounds.  It looked like a fun place to be.

We arrived at Golden Isles RV Park in Brunswick GA about 3:30.  That was early enough that we rode out to Jekyll Island to look around.  We found a great big beach to walk on briefly.  There was a big thunderstorm coming over the island so we couldn't stay long.  Then we took a drive around the island, got a very heavy downpour and lightning show there and most of the way back to camp.  So Jekyll Island is very scenic but a bit too heavily developed for our tastes.  The only big attraction is the beach.

It hasn't even been raining that much!  Turned out to be a false warning.

I'd say the "to go" food has Gone!

Callahan has a town named after him!

Bridge over Fancy Bluff Creek at Brunswick  That's quite a "creek" to need a bridge like that!

Interesting arm of the storm
