Left Picacho and came to Huachuca. The maps call this Whetstone with Huachuca City 2 miles south, then Sierra Vista and Ft. Huachuca about 10 miles. Just a half mile from the campground is a marker for the original site of Ft. Huachuca in 1877, now it is the closed east gate. It was originally home to the 10th Cavalry "Buffalo Soldiers".

Rained this afternoon. We have not seen rain in a month! Supposed to be cloudy and maybe rain again tomorrow. Sounds like a good day for a museum.
