Heading east

Got packed fairly quick and easy this morning.  That was a surprise!  We were afraid it would take a lot longer to get everything packed.  On the road before 11:30 after dumping the tanks.

Watching Mt Graham passing by most of the time was nice.  I had not realized we could see it from the I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson.  And once down by Wilcox it was obviously a much more clear day than when we came into AZ 12 days ago.  The dust had obscured the mountain but today I could easily see the observatory on top.  I considered suggesting a stop in Ft. Davis tomorrow for a Tuesday night Sky Party session at McDonald Observatory, but Davis Mtn State Park was full.  So it’ll be onward to Ft. Stockton.

Made it Lordsburg NM, my first time staying in this town.  Found some groceries and a nice little restaurant too. The KOA is typical in layout but not overcrowded. After Ben Avery’s East campground anything is tighter.

Photos are just the usual variety of windshield pictures of the passing sights.
