Arrived in Tucson

Nice drive up here on a sunny day, took about an hour from Benson.  Didn't amount to much after we got here.  I went out for a new tire for the trailer, had too much wear for comfort on the left rear.  I've had that tire wear before but Perfection Trailer tells me there is nothing to adjust.  I'll talk to them again when I get home.

We are at the Pima County Fairgrounds RV Park.  The fairgrounds has around 400 camper sites, all with full hookups for $25/night.  We are 10 miles south of the center of Tucson and actually inside the city limits.  There is all the shopping we need (Wally, Supercuts, a supermarket, a tire store etc) within 5 miles yet we are out of earshot of the interstate.  And it's 9 miles to our local favorite supermarket Food City.  They make some excellent fresh guacamole, tortilla chips and chorizo; all made in-house.  I've been looking forward to that the whole month.  And by the way, it is one month today since we left home.  Yee-Haw!

They are having a horse show of some sort here this weekend.  We saw some barrel racing and pole bending late this afternoon.  Then finally got the grill out for some burgers for dinner.  Followed up by perhaps the best sunset of the trip so far.  I just hope the camera captured it well enough.
