Visiting Bisbee and Tombstone AZ

Gee, can I say it was another nice sunny day?  Yup.  It began with coffee and donuts at the clubhouse here at the park, they do that every Friday morning.  We got our goodies and sat down with a couple who were at a table by themselves.  Conversation about where we're all from (VT & MA) soon got to the Green Mountain Club, and she is Ginger Boynton, former GMC Secretary in the late 1980s when I was on the GMC Board.  We never knew each other very well but we all knew each other well by name!  They have wintered in this park for several years, living in OR the rest of the time.

Took a ride south to Bisbee AZ, an old mining town that is now focused on tourists and history.  Being a mining town it is nestled in a valley with steep hills on both sides.  By that I mean it is 3-4 streets wide and a bit more than a mile long.  The stores are all on the lower level with the housing on the steep hillsides above the merchant area.  The people have a sense of color for everything and are very friendly.  Callahan was out walking with us after we made a scouting trip around town.  There are dog water bowls outside of many shops and plenty of people stopped to say hello to him.

Then a stop in Tombstone to look around and get some ice cream.  I visited my favorite mustache shop for some more of my favorite wax.
