To City of Rock State Park, NM

First of all, Mary provided the answer to what we saw last night at the observatory.  It was indeed SpaceX Falcon Heavy, but it was the third stage booster sending the Tesla Roadster toward Mars.  How cool is that?  We a spacecraft, er, car leave Earth orbit for another planet!  Now for some perspective, this photo covered an area several times the apparent size of the Moon, we also could see the path of the car as it arced across 1/4 of the sky.

The cell signal is rather weak tonight.  I am very impressed that we have this much.  It is a pretty remote place here at City of Rocks State Park in or someplace near Faywod NM.  I say it like that because we have not seen the actual town.  So we don't really know where it is.

I'll add some more photos tomorrow when I have a better signal, it took almost 5 minutes to load the one photo.  The sunset over the rocks was quite the sight.

The ride over from Ft. Davis was generally nice.  Marfa was a pretty town.  El Paso is way too big.  Las Cruces looked better than I remembered, but that was just driving past on I-10.
