Doc's day

While we are here at Winter Range I will run a separate entry regarding the match while Carlene will write about her day.  It's mostly about the volume of photos we each have!

Wild Bunch day 1
It finally stopped raining sometime after midnight.  Perhaps the end of New England weather here in Arizona.
These are some fun stages, lots of lateral movement, no forward movement.  No stage has it's own bay so there is no forward movement that I have seen so far.  That may change.  Shot the first 5 today, second 5 tomorrow.  I believe they said 132 total shooters in Wild Bunch here.
The shooting sequences are challenging but not mind benders.   A few procedural on my posse today; probably due to simple brain fade.  I shot fairly well, cleaned 2 of 5 stages, maybe 4 misses on the other 3.  Got 2 of 3 of those pesky hostage targets like we saw at EOT (a small swinger sticking out of the side of a regular target).  There were a couple hiccups, on the 8 shotgun round stage I was not to smooth loading the extra 2 rounds.  It has been quite a while since I used my pump shotgun!
Wild Bunch here makes use of great variety of engagement, like 20, 25 or 30 pistol, anywhere from no rifle to 10 rifle and 4-8 shotgun rounds.  Never a boring stage.
I saw Half-a-hand Henri this morning, she looks fine and sounds very happy, as always.Didn't get to talk much but now I know where she's camping.   This campground is more like 3 campgrounds spread out over 3/4 mile.
