Edisto Beach Park day 2

Today started out with some light rain.  By the time we were ready to do something it stopped raining.  WAHOO!
We went for a 4+ mile walk on the trials here, out along the tidal river that borders the campground to a couple views and then to the Educational Center.  We visited the Ed Ctr last time and since we walked over with Cal (he is not welcome inside) we didn't go in.  But we did walk on their trail.

This afternoon we checked out a book store nearby.  The guy running it, Carroll, is about the friendliest guy we have met.  Between compliments about the 'stache and asking where we are from and all sorts of other conversation it was like running into a long lost friend.  Carlene bought a used book which he discounted (said he had not managed to run the store into the ground for the owner) and then gave her another book that a friend of his had given him to read.
We located a museum that will be open tomorrow, so that'll be on the list.

SC is the Palmetto State.  This is a Palmetto.

Cal was thirsty when we were at the Ed Ctr and I suggested (jokingly) that there was a tall water dish here.  Next minute this squirrel comes along for a drink!   Cal found another water source.
