That's right, a second day here. Nice park! Well, OK, there is more to the story. When I went out to the truck this morning I saw a soft tire. I was planning to check all the tires anyway, I hadn't checked the trailer tire pressure in a few days. The truck has a tire pressure sensor.
So I tried to inflate the tire, I carry an air compressor. But the valve stem would leak when I wiggled it. OOPS. It's 10 miles to Waycross GA and I probably could have driven the soft (43 psi instead of 80) but didn't want to risk damaging a new tire with just 1800 miles on it. Called AAA who came out and put on the spare. These are 20" tires, very heavy. I could do it if I had to, but I have paid AAA for 24 years and not used it much. Time to use it! I had lots of time and nowhere to go. We had already decided to spend the day here, deal with the tire and head west tomorrow. The joy of No Schedule!
Got it all done and still had some time to hang out at camp.
Met some folks from Boston & NY who now live in FL and are just here for a few days of camping. Nice folks, too bad I've spaced out their names. But I probably won't need to remember them again anyway.
Carlene and Cal stayed here, did some walking around the park & took a couple photos. Another sunny 80 degree day in Georgia. I didn't take any tire pictures. I figure you all are bored enough reading about it!
Nicely done! Loving your blog.I'm still here! Waiting for my brand new truck to get out of service. Has been there since December 5!!! They can't find the "shudder" problem I'm having. Experts from all over the country have been visiting. Love my RAM, but hope they get it fixed and I can be on my way!
