It was a dog day, all day. A couple miles behind the campground is a back entrance to the park. It leads to some petroglyphs and a trail continues around the side of Indian Head Mountain. We did this last year too. One advantage is that it is not heavily used so we can bring Skye with us and let her off leash. They say that they have surveillance but I doubt that they use it to monitor dogs. She had a great time!
We’ll be packing in the morning and heading to Van Horn TX for a night. Then on to Deming NM. We were going up to Alamogordo NM but there will be a lot of rain over the weekend in a lot of the SW, so we’ll just move along.
Later it was a bit more grocery shopping for the road. Then we saw a VT Jeep on the road. We haven’t seen a green plate for quite a while.
