Tucson 4

This was another beautiful sunny day in Tucson. Yeah, they have a few of them every year.  We went up to Saguaro Nat'l Park West for a hike in King's Canyon.  That turned into a hike up Wasson Peak.  Callahan stayed in the camper again, it's a National Park.  He wanted me to make a disparaging comment about those who leave him in the camper.  We did leave the AC turned on in case it got hot.  Actually it did get pretty warm on the hike.  It was around 75 when we returned to the truck around 3:30.  The hike was a steady climb up through the Saguaro forest and up above that level into open scrub growth.  It amounted to 1800' gain and was about 8 miles round trip.

Back at camp in time to buy some propane, have some more salsa & chips and a fine dinner of leftovers.  Who can cook after a long hike?
