Parker Canyon Lake day trip

Got up to 24 degrees this morning.  Hopefully the last we see of that, but no problem.  It warms up quickly when the sun comes up.  It was 38 by the time we left at 9:00.
Took a day trip to Parker Canyon Lake, built in 1966 by USFWS and now part of the Coronado National Forest & 38 miles from camp.
We hiked the 5 mile trail around the lake.  Very scenic, very nice, warm enough to eventually go to T-Shirt.  Cal had a great time too.  He was off leash most of the trip, no problem, he's a good guy.   We saw 3 deer, many ducks (Coots, Bufflehead and Mallard), swallows, swifts and two ravens who just stayed on their perches while we walked under them.

Got back to camp early, about 3 PM.  Had a few chores to do that had been put off during the rain and late days.  Simple little things like fueling the generator, refilling fuel bottles repacking the truck etc.

Now here in camp the sun is bright, so bright that I had to pull the curtain to see the computer screen.  Cal is fed and now snoring on the floor.

Callahan caught a scent at one of our resting stops.  He didn't get any rest there!
