San Pedro Riparian hike & Tombstone

The day started with Carlene walking Callahan to the sound of coyotes; nearby but just out of sight, he thought that was interesting for a moment or two.
We then went to the San Pedro National Riparian Conservation area for some hiking and bird watching.  Now.  You know Carlene much more the bird watcher than I am.  But who spotted a Vermilion Flycatcher?  Too bad she wasn’t even with me when I saw it, she had gone ahead a bit.
Callahan had a great time out there, chasing small critters or scents of same in the Sacaton (tall grasses).  We must have covered 5 miles.
After lunch we ran over to Tombstone for little tourist action.  I like the street actors and their skits, along with my favorite mustache shop, the Tombstone Mustacherie.
We got back to camp around 4:30 and found that we have the whole place to ourselves again.  Nobody for a couple miles in any direction.  Another great sunset and some more coyote singing!
This looks like our last night here.  The fresh water is almost gone, the waste tanks are filling up, the batteries could use a good deep charge....  So we may head for Deming NM tomorrow.  Hopefully Hidden Valley Ranch has room for us.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day!  I’m looking for my greenest T-shirt.
