Camp Haekel 5

We went for another walk out to the south from camp.  Went a couple miles in a big loop.  Ran into the same fence we did 3 years ago, no surprise there.  Skye found a steak bone which she carried and chewed for over a half mile.  That cut down on her roaming all over, she’d run ahead of us a bit, lay down and chew until she had to get out ahead again.

It was after noon when we got back and after lunch decided to hang in camp for the afternoon.  Wish I could tell you all the thrilling desert recreation we got this afternoon, but it wasn’t like that.  I’ve had some touch up paint to fix a couple pinhead rust spots on the truck, so that’s done until I find more.  Then I balanced the checkbook.  Yup, thrill an hour.  Wrote a few emails to cowboys back home.

It was too cloudy for sunset pictures today.  The wind was blasting this afternoon too.  But no rain expected until Tuesday.

Skye needed some water to wash down that bone

A couple more campers parked down the roadm

The fence; too big to climb, and barbed wire too.

Late afternoon entertainment
Four of these made quite a noise, had to go out to see what was up
