Beware the Ides of March!
More appropriate for the NorEaster you got than the slight rain we got today. It is raining harder now, and should rain occasionally most of the night. We’ll see how well I resealed the roof! Good. Rain out here is brief. I need to know the roof is sealed before heading East.
We spent most of the day in Safford, looking around, exploring, sightseeing and shopping. Starting with haircuts, then we found water at the Chamber of Commerce. Went in to CofC asking where we might get water and they said well, right here. They have a faucet and hose in front of the office that we’re welcome to use. I told them it could be up to 100 gallons and they didn’t care. From there we walked downtown to see some murals CofC had told us about. We walked down Main St, got some coffee and checked some shops.
Then off to two other Western shops, a gun shop and finally a bike shop. Carlene had to replace a tube in one bike tire and wanted a new spare tube. Shop closed permanently last Saturday. The only good news of that was the bakery we discovered next door.
Back at camp we had a playful dog after riding around most of the day with only brief walks outside. After supper she delayed this blog writing for a half hour of playtime.
