So we went for a hike on the Papago Springs Trail a few miles south of town. It is primarily a horse trail, lots of hoof prints. That made the trail easy to follow. Except that there are so many branches of the trail that you need a map. The All Trails app did quite well for that. All of the trail was over 8 miles around a loop. But with untold crossovers to allow just about any length you might want. Soon after we started I got a call to see the doc at 3:45. No problem, just take the right crossover shortcut. We didn’t take the one we wanted but it was better! This one went over the hill in the middle of the loop and was more scenic. It took us to where we wanted to be, just not the exact way we planned. My app said we did 5.3 miles.
After the hike we had an hour to kill before my appointment so we went to the ice cream store! Delicious milkshake! Then another phone call looking for a campsite in Willcox AZ so we can visit the Chiricahua National Monument. Finally found one, although it means changing from a regular site to a dry site and back again. The first place we called never did answer the phone or return a call.
On to the doc. My ear is fine. Probably some congestion in the eustation tube. I got some Allegra to try to clear that out. Just had to be sure there was no infection that could cause a balance issue while driving cross country. Interesting clinic. A single NP and office manager, that’s it. Cynthia “CiGi” Smith has 25years experience mostly in emergency medicine and seems to work alone.
I wonder how this root ball came to be on top of the ground

Hey, I found WATER!

Back home to take a 😴 nap
Glad to hear that the "eye thing" wasn't anything serious.
