Van Horn, TX

\So much nicer day today.  Still some dusty haze in the distance, but distance is more like 40 miles instead of 1/4 mile.  We had another time change today just before reaching Van Horn.  We’re back in Central Time so only one hour off from home.  But making the equivalent of DST two days in a row going to have some effect.  The analog clock is still on AZ time. 😁  But it’s 8:30 and it is not dark yet.

We are at the Wild West RV Park, another frequent stop.  Nothing to really brag about, it’s convenient and reasonably priced.  There are not any Harvest Host sites in west Texas, they are all at least a half a day away.  Of course there isn’t much else out here either.

Tomorrow we go to the San Angelo State Park in San Angelo TX.  It’s about 300 miles, which is about as far as we ever want to drive in a day.  We’ll stay there for 3 nights.  They say they have some good hiking, and the town is nice too.

  1. That map makes the campground look like it's downtown! Glad you're out of the dust storms.
