Safford 2

With a forecast of rain or thunderstorms in the mid afternoon we decided to go into Safford to browse the downtown.  It’s a nice little downtown with a few interesting shops.  I got some cowboy hat cleaner in the western shop, my light tan dress hat is getting a bit dirty, the shooting hats have a good patina layer.  Also got some more arnica in the goat-based products shop, Carlene browsed a couple other places.  The Goat shop is a family owned farm-to-shop business that raises goats and uses the milk to formulate a very wide variety of products.  I use the goat milk menthol arnica for the neuropathy in my feet, it seems to help.

Then we drove out to Dry Lake Park expecting we might find some walking area.  Turns out it is a shooting range!  But we found some picnic tables to eat lunch and then walked around there for a while with Skye off leash.  Nobody else around.
Back to the camp for a few minor chores and reading while watching the clouds over the mountain and listening to the thunder.  It didn’t rain much but there was plenty of wind.  The camper was rocking for a while!

SAfford has a number of nice murals around downtown

We found a good place for a dog walk
