Sunny but cool and windy.. It was a cold start, around 32, so we took our time this morning. I rearranged the garage for better use of space, now it’s easier to get to things. Well, some things. Other things might be under some other things.
We went out behind camp like we did a couple days ago but this time we went through the fence and into the park with Skye. It is a way out back part of the park. Out here there are some petroglyphs for a half mile. Pretty neat ancient art. We kept going along a trail and then into a wash until he hit another park boundary. Then doubled back. All together it was about 5 miles. It is Sunday so plenty of people were out there. 2 guys who said it was pretty warm once you were moving. They saw that we had plenty of clothes, but we thought it was too windy for less. Then another couple who talked with us for a while as we explored the petroglyphs. showing each other what we found. Four women came along, all having a great time. Climbing up on rocks, talking & laughing. It turned into a comfortably warm day by 3.
Back here we hot the grocery store. A bit later we went to Tivo’s Place Restaurant for some really good Mexican food. Carlene enjoyed her chalupas and my chiles rellenos were fantastic. It’s a Mexican place all around. Our waitress barely spoke English at all.
