This was slightly busy for a day off. After breakfast we went out for propane, diesel and groceries. Propane is often a pain. Internet search for “propane tank refill” would seem like a straight forward and common search. It does bring up many results, mostly wrong ones. Suburban Propane wasn’t too far so we started there. At least they’d know who does. And that part was correct. She had a printed sheet to give me with a bunch of places and a recommendation or who was closest and cheapest too. It was just 5 minutes away and a. 30 lb tank for $19! A lot cheaper than home.
Groceries were a half mile away and diesel on the way back to camp. We had everything done before Louanne arrived. The 3 of us and Skye had a long walk on the beach. 20 degrees cooler than yesterday but much less wind and we had lots of sun, so it was very comfortable. We saw a lot of birds, Louanne is a keen birder, she spotted quite a few out on the water. Loons, Pelicans, Cormorants, ducks…
We even had lunch on the picnic table when we got back to camp. Some neighbor campers from CT came over. They’d seen the VT plates and noted that only northerners were out at picnic tables, the locals thought it was too cold.
Later was some maintenance time. Fixed up a few small things that had shaken loose on the road, like a missing screw on the back door latch. Sounds simple but finding a suitable screw is always a search!
I feel your"pain" about finding the correct screw for RV repairs. I only decent hardware store I found in the area was in North Myrtle Beach. It's about a 20 mi one-way ride for you. Hardly worth it.
ReplyDeleteBut, I see you found a "Cannon Ball" jellyfish. By April, the beaches will be covered with them.
