W. Monroe, LA

Back again at the Landry Vineyard.  We really liked this place last March so here we are again.  We had a couple wine samples, bought some wine and then went into town for dinner.  Trapp’s Cajun and Seafood on the riverfront in W. Monroe is delicious!  The Smothered Catfish (on rice with Etouffee) was superb.  Carlene had Etouffee over a baked potato.

The drive over was mostly I-20.  A bright sunny day made up for the pure interstate travel.  US-80 was an option but it was parallel and only a half mile over, so the scenery wouldn’t be all that different.  We’ve been covering a state a day recently.  That’ll change tomorrow when we reach Texas!  At the pace we’ve been going TX would take 4 days.

I added some photos to yesterday’s post too.
