We took our time,,, we had to. The trail started at 6700’ and we stopped at 7800’ about 2 miles later. That elevation had it’s affect on us. Lots of stopping to pant. At least that’s what I blame it on. 1122’ rise according to my app. On the way down the mountain we saw 2 deer. A small 6 pt. buck and a second very small deer, either doe or last year’s fawn.
Back at camp Carlene made some fresh guacamole and we sat out to watch the sun set Over the mountain.
We had a neighbor for a couple hours this morning. A pick-up camper with a small trailer pulled in to the site next door, hung a round a bit, took some photos and then left. since they went southeast I presume they were going to he sand dunes & hot springs. Must’ve had a 4 wheeler in the trailer.
Definitely no visible snow up there
The distant neighbors
The morning visitor
Skye just wants to chew her stick
Skye is really enjoying her snow!
I found a VT rock in AZ
It even has a cutout for Lake Champlain in the NW
That’s our trail down there
Looks liekyou guys had a beautiful day. Not too bad here in NE. The morning started in the single digits and got into the mid-twenties with a bit of a breeze. The girls made a trip to Lincoln, NH to visit the "Ice Castles". I stayed behind to work on quarter grades which closed on Friday.
