Big Bend 3

It got up to 76 degrees today!  We did a 6 mile hike today to the Mule Ears Spring & Peaks.  We had been to the spring before, one of our earliest, if not the first hike we did in the park, on our first visit.  Very nice hike, generally flat with moderate ups and downs. The spring is not big.  Mountain springs tend to be pretty small with a lot of rock and vegetation around them.  When you think about it where there is water there are plants growing. I’ll let the photos describe it.

We met a few people on the trail.  One woman from OH spends the winter out west with her huge camera lens looking for rare birds and butterflies etc.  One guy we met at the store last evening was from ME and we met him again today on the trail.

There was a family from Quebec here when we arrived; we met the woman who said they are full time RV.  They sold the house in Que, work remotely, have 2 little girls and home school the older one (6yo).  They were gone when we got back today.
