Tonight we are between Augusta and Macon GA.
We left the park about 9 after using the dump station, so now all tanks are at the ready. Filled a propane tank after arriving at camp too.
Pleasant drive again today, about 233 miles under partly sunny skies. We crossed the length of SC and into GA at Augusta. A mix of interstate and 2-4 lane state roads. Quite a mixture of big old houses and run down places. Even a couple run down big old houses.
Camp tonight is another Harvest Host/Boondockers Welcome locale. This RV Park has 4 sites, 3 of which have what appear to be quasi permanent trailers. One of those is a horse trailer with a tack room. The fourth site is available to boondockers when it’s not rented. First night boondocking is free. $25 if you want power. It has water and sewer if desired, but we took care of all those things at the park. Nobody else is here, except the owner who lives in a house 50 yards away.
We just took a walk with Skye. Carlene spotted some eyes glowing from our flashlights in the woods. We crept closer and closer. Our great hunt revealed a cat watching us.
This winter storm Fenn seems to be a bigger deal back home than it is here. Yeah, there are big thunderstorm warnings down on the gulf coast but that’s over 250 miles away.
Slow cell connection tonight so I cannot load photos.
