Pedernales Falls State Park, Johnson City TX

Long day driving, a good 300 miles with a lot of wind. That made driving hard because I had to be constantly alert for gusts blowing the rig around.  Tonight I am Tired!

We were supposed to have a Harvest Host at the Pedernales Falls Trading Post.  We thought it was odd that they didn’t approve the reservation, just left it “pending” for 2 days.  We decided to just go there and see.  They are closed!  Oh well.  The state park is next door, so here we are!

I can’t show you anything because the cell service is so bad that I have to go outdoors to get any internet connection at all. And that’s not good enough for uploading photos.  We are here for 2 nights, so maybe later. Very nice spacious park. Very few sites taken, especially for a holiday weekend. But they do have a cold spell in the works. Tomorrow night is supposed to be below freezing.  22 Sunday night and 14 Monday night.  We’ll be further south by then.  But I don’t know how much warmer that’ll be!

Stepped out to post.  Wow.  The sky is great tonight!
