Chilly morning with just a dusting of snow on the ground. In a few places in PA we had little swirls of snow dancing on the road. Nothing sticking to anything so it didn’t matter beyond the feeling of harassment by Ma Nature. “You thought you could get away from me that easily? Haha.” South of Harrisburg we found some sunshine here & there!
US Rt 15 south from Harrisburg starts out as a 4 lane with occasional traffic lights. Then becomes a 2 lane country highway through horse farm country with big Colonial houses and large barns surrounded by 20 acre wood-fenced pastures with a dozen blanketed horses in many of them.
Finally arriving at Quattro Goombas Winery. We stayed here last year too. It was our first Harvest Hosts site and tonight it’s becoming a good standard stop. Last year we did beer, this year a couple wines. Last year was pizza and this year a couple quesadillas. Carlene had chicken and bacon, I had chorizo. Both delicious!
Tomorrow night we have another Harvest Host in Halifax VA at a distillery.
