I am Not going to say this was a great day to drive!
As forecast this was a cold rainy night. I woke up around 2 and heard the rain. But when we woke up at 7 it was not raining and the weather report said 33 degrees. The house thermometer was 32. So much for the freezing rain!!!! We still took our time and left at 9 with intermittent rain and 33 degrees. It rained most of the time as we drove south. About 180 miles with about 3 hours of drive time. Consistently rained less and got warmer. 😁 By the time we crossed NC and got into SC it was partly sunny and 61 degrees here in camp! YAHOO!!! For the time being we have left winter behind! 😋
We spent some time walking around the campground with Skye, went to get some groceries, passed 1000 miles on the odometer and enjoyed the late day. Sunset here is about 45 minutes later than in VT. Sunrise is about the same. One difference is that we are farther west, like south of Buffalo NY.
Skye found a new friend in the campground. Koda belongs to the camp host, Barb from upstate NY, and since she is the host she gets to say it’s OK to play off leash!
Glad you went to Cheraw / we like it there too! Did you check out Dizzy Gillespie park?
