It was a cool bright morning. When we were ready to leave we went to Mike and Patricia’s door to return a log book we had read over and signed. They insisted that we come in and sit down for a while. Such friendly people! They invited us back and we probably will!
A whole lot better drive today than yesterday! Sunny all day. The first half was on some more 2 and 4 lane US Highways followed by I-20. We added to our wildlife observation today with a live deer beside the highway. We’ve seen countless less live ones. Several hawks hunting the roadsides. And for interesting non-wildlife we saw a horse tied up in front of a rural store. Saddled, obviously ridden to the store. We have cameras close by but all this stuff happens too quickly to even think about getting it.
Here in Raymond MS we are on a 109 acre farm. They have Belted Galloway cattle, chickens, pigs, meat and eggs for sale. We walked around the pastures with Skye, she found some wood to chew so she was happy. We’re gong to check out the dark sky pretty soon, it should be nice!
Off to TX tomorrow. It won’t be a new state every day for a while after that!
