Warning
Cell service is dead. WiFi poor. I may not be able to post regularly when I wan to So if I miss a post tomorrow night you’ll know why. But we are finding the WiFi inside the clubhouse is fine.
Looks like the cell we’ve been using for 3 days if offline.
Talk about sunny days, all morning not a single cloud anywhere in the sky. Lounged around all morning. It’s moving day so casual packing for that. It’s only a mile, so no need for tight packing.
Coming into Arivaca there was a dash warning to check trailer brake wiring. It has dried out enough now to comfortably crawl under the trailer. Sure enough I found a wire that was worn in one spot where it entered the wheel. Just enough to ground out when it was in just the right spot. A bit of electrical tape and that should be fine.
Moved almost a mile to another campground. More open space, Steve is a very friendly manager. We asked if Skye could swim in the fish pond, he says “anything you want”! We are dry camping here, refreshed all tanks before leaving Universal, so we should be good for days. We’re only staying 2 nights then heading to Tucson.
Had a walk on the roads out of camp. Not very long before hitting dead ends or loud dogs. But we did meet the donkey across the road. We’ve heard him several times. We’ll go to the sanctuary for better hiking tomorrow.
Skye wants to meet the donkey. Maybe.
