Arivaca / Universal Ranch 3

Finally back to nice sunny days, even if a bit cool. Topped out at 55 in Tubac, 49 at camp.

We went over to the Tubac Arts Festival to look around.
We’ve been to Tubac Presidio museum before but this is an outdoor art fair occupying all the streets (both of them) in the village of Tubac.  Lots of very nice photography, sculpture, pottery and anything else anyone can think of to make.  We spent a good three hours wandering the displays.  We only bought a dog treat to make up to Skye for leaving her in the camper.
Back at Arivaca we went over to the Buenos Aires Sanctuary trailhead for a hike.  But the trail went over the Arivaca Creek, which is flowing now from all the rain and snowmelt.  I didn’t want to ford it.  Skye did, but we didn’t count her vote. Back to the truck and over to the trail we did at a different trailhead 2 days ago. The place where we saw the deer and javelina.  Nice hike again and this time Skye and I saw a rabbit.  Looked like a cottontail, not lanky enough for a jackrabbit.
The mountains are really standing out with snow on most of them!  The views are great.

This vertical tower peak really stands out

An old homestead.

Can’t cross that without getting very wet

What kind of bark is this?
